| Tony Cashman began his marketing career as a communications specialist in the public relations department at ESPN as well as a correspondent in the sports department at The Hartford Courant. Later, as a sales account executive at WFSB-TV3 in Hartford, he honed his account management and sales skills, successfully servicing and dramatically increasing billings on major accounts. Tony has helped Cashman+Katz grow from a tiny two-man start-up in 1992 to one of Connecticut’s Top 3 rated integrated marketing communications companies. In addition to day-to-day operational and financial management of Cashman+Katz, he continues to develop growth strategies for the agency and its clients. Cashman supervises the public relations, creative, media and research departments of Cashman+Katz and oversees some of the agency’s largest accounts including the Connecticut Lottery,
Nationwide Insurance,
Pfizer, Shell Oil and Connecticut children’s Medical Center, among others. Tony also spearheaded development of a separate operating company, Connecticut InFocus – one of the Northeast’s largest focus group research facilities. This company afforded Cashman + Katz the honor of receiving the CT. Quality Improvement award – the first for a marketing company in Connecticut – for developing a unique, yet integrated research company that complements
the agency's
platform of marketing services. Cashman and his management team are often referenced as industry thought leaders on a wide variety of business, advertising, communications and research-related issues. Furthermore, the agency is recognized annually in awards shows for various results-driven campaigns from the Advertising Club, Public Relations Society of America, and the American Marketing Association. Tony has received numerous civic and professional honors, such as Hartford Business Journal’s annual “40 Under 40” award, as well as being named Volunteer of The Year in Glastonbury, CT for his and C+K’s development and launch of “The Glastonbury Binge Drinking Initiative”. Cashman has served on boards and marketing committees such as the Leukemia Society, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Community Health Charities, Urban League of Greater Hartford and the governor’s advisory board for responsible teen driving. Tony Cashman earned his B.A. degree at Stonehill College, in North Easton, Massachussetts, where he majored in communications and journalism, and minored in business administration. Tony resides in Avon, CT. with his wife Mary and daughter Ava. |
