While equal or better than its neighboring hospital in capability, ratings and size, Saint Mary’s was significantly outspent and out-voiced in the marketplace. As a result, its image was being shaped by the media and by its competitor’s own words. C+K rushed into this marketing emergency and helped Saint Mary’s find its voice, by uncovering a unique, meaningful and deliverable positioning as the “high touch” hospital. While it has capabilities, awards and ratings in spades, often the most important part of care is the things that can’t be measured.
